Abstract
This paper presents some preliminary results from a research project aiming to evaluate how the entrepreneurial skills would capture the effect of the knowledge and abilities acquired by founders through their education, training, work experience and the Romanian values, organizational and managerial practices reflect on the entrepreneurial profile. The Data presented in this paper are not representative for Romania, reflecting only some trends emerged from 50 companies in Prahova County. Entrepreneurial skills, in combination with the motivations of the entrepreneur, would define different “types” of entrepreneurs. The Individual Entrepreneurial Expertise Assessment can be determined by modelling the Venture Profile. This paper presents the results of the analyzed sample linked to the Ronald Mitchell’s venture types.
