Remote Work Security During The COVID-19 Pandemic: Threats – Challenges – Proposals

A sense of security – or the lack of it – essentially determines the quality of life of every human being. Contemporary man, thanks to the digitized reality, has unlimited potential for creating his own existence. Cyberspace is now becoming an inevitable reality of everyday life. We are wrapped in technological advances that not only make our lives easier, but most of all provide us with a sense of security. This virtual space shapes our safety, actions and choices, influences our relationships and mutual connections in almost every sphere. The global COVID-19 pandemic has made our relations even more dependent on cyberspace, as most of us perform professional duties in the remote work system. This sudden dependence on remote working, however, opened up a whole new range of security and privacy risks. The purpose of this article is to present the impact and implications of civilization, technological and epidemic changes on the security level of remote work.
